Construction Update: October 30, 2013 - November 12, 2013


During this period Costello Construction Company: 
  • Installed roof trusses at Column line 2 and 1, sequence 11 and 13
  • Installed connecting steel sequence 11 and 12
  • Mobilized a 2nd crane for truss erection
  • Installed roof and 4th floor decking at the Pavilion sequence 9
  • Installed decking at the 5th floor west of X-1 line sequence 8
  • Core drilled for storm pipe at the 2nd floor and 3rd floor
  • Applied spray fire proofing at the 2nd floor and started the 3rd floor
  • Mobilized the Drywall Contractor and completed layout at the 2nd and 3rd floor 
  • Stocked steel studs for exterior walls at the 1st three floors
  • Completed CMU walls at the 3rd floor; north elevation
  • Electrical rough in and installed panel board boxes at the Electrical Room
  • Completed steel erection to the 5th floor west of X-1 line sequence 8 and 11
  • Began overhead storm pipe rough in at the 1st floor ceiling space 
  • Installed stair #2 from the basement to 1st floor
  • Delivered steel sequence 11, 13 and 18 
  • Poured the pad for sample wall.

Construction Update: October 15, 2013- October 29, 2013


During this period Costello Construction Company :
  • Installed roof trusses at column line 3 and 4 sequence 8
  • formed and poured the concrete wall to the 3rd floor vicinity of column line #1
  • Installed 4th floor decking at the pavilion sequence 7
  • Applied spray fire proofing at the 1st floor and started the 2nd floor 
  • Prep and poured concrete at 3rd floor composition deck west of X-1 line
  • Completed CMU walls at the 2nd floor; north elevation 
  • Electrical rough in at masonry walls
  • Erected steel from sequence 8 to 10
  • Completed steel erection to the 4th floor west of X-1 line
  • Began overhead duct and storm pipe rough in at the lower level  
  • Installed MEP hangers prior to fireproofing at the 1st floor
  • Delivered steel sequence 11 and 12
  • Formed and poured concrete walls from 1st and 2nd floor vicinity of the loading dock.

Construction Update: September 17, 2013- October 1, 2013

During this period Costello Construction Company:

  • Stripped remaining forms at core walls
  • Installed waterproofing , drain tiles and controlled fill at the east side X-1 line and the south side of stair #1
  • Continued waterproofing and compacted fill against foundation walls at the west side
  • Poured grade beam footing at x-1 line vicinity of column line #3
  • Formed and poured the foundation wall; same area
  • Prep and pour the remaining basement slab on grade
  • Formed and poured 2 concrete encased columns
  • Formed and poured the dumpster enclosure walls to the 2nd floor
  • Installed metal door frames and masonry walls at the lower level
  • Installed masonry walls at the upper level north east corner
  • Completed second floor decking , poured stops and shear studs
  • Began steel erection at the pavilion 
  • Erected steel to the 3rd floor and began decking
  • started steel erection to the 4th floor.

Construction Update: September 03, 2013- September 17, 2013


During this period Costello Construction Company:

  • Completed the mud mat, below slab waterproofing and vapor barrier at the lower level 
  • Installed the trench drain at the lower level
  • Completed prep. and concrete placement at the lower level slab on grade
  • Poured the 12 inch concrete curb at the lower level
  • Re-mobilized the Steel Erectors to complete the remainder of the structural steel
  • Continued waterproofing and compacted fill against foundation walls at the west side
  • Removed climbing forms elevator 2 and 3
  • Completed 5th floor foundation walls vicinity elevator 1 lobby
  • Completed concrete core walls at elevator 1, stair 1 from the 5th floor to the roof
  • Removed climbing forms stair 1/ elevator 1
  • Formed and poured core walls at elevator 4 and 5 from the 4th floor to the roof
  • Erected steel to the 3rd floor and began decking
  • Started steel erection to the 4th floor.
